Holyoke Community Toy Drive & 3 Kings Day Event!

As we prepare for the Holidays season, we know that Thanksgiving for a lot of our families is a difficult time, we will be working with and providing 30 families with individuals from PR their full meals.

We are preparing and hosting a Toy Drive, in order to make the Latinx Holiday Tradition of 3 Kings Day a HUGE Event for kids and need and especially the youth that is coming from the island of Puerto Rico. Nueva Esperanza along with a bunch of other amazing organizations (Holyoke Community Charter School, Mount Tom Lodge AF&AM, Western Mass United for Puerto Rico, and the Holyoke Public Schools.) Are collecting for families in need in the schools and those youth who have come from Puerto Rico.

We have identified 500 youth that meets these criteria, and our goal is to collect over 1000 gifts/gift cards/toys, in order to provide two wrapped gifts for each youth. We are placing a great emphasis on gifts that the entire family can enjoy, including movie passes, bowling passes, skating passes etc. Traditional gifts and toys are of course welcome.

Nueva Esperanza on January 6th, 2017 will host the 3 Kings Day Celebration (Including a Visit from the 3 Kings and will distribute all of these gifts/toys to families at that time.  (Event is invite only and will be made through the Holyoke Public Schools).

If you can find it in your heart to give, give! Our donation center is back open and we want to fill it to the rafters like we did for relief items, the more toys gifts we collect the better we will continue to spread the love and ensure these gifts get out there to youth in need / those who have come over from Puerto Rico.
